York Railway Modellers Fall Open House, Day 1

Information:
The York Railway Modellers own and operate an HO scale layout that occupies a space of 1600 sq. feet with 11 scale miles of mainline depicting the way freight operations of the Canadian National Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway as they were in Southern Ontario between the years of 1953 and 1957. The main line runs between the cities of Toronto and London Ontario each with its own major yard and 3 industrial areas plus 8 towns in between. Each completed town has a replica of its station as it stood in the 1950's along with accurate rolling stock of the time.
Directions:
Take the 401 and exit at Weston Road.
Go north and turn right onto Walsh which becomes Wilson Avenue.
Oakland Ave is the second left after the CP Rail Bridge underpass.

Howdy All! Diesel Horse Hobbies and Twists & More Bakery are teaming up to put on the Camrose Model Train Swap Meet & Bake Sale.

We have acquired a New, Much LARGER venue, than the swap meets of years past.

Along with all the model train Buying and Selling and Trading, Twists & More will be providing a concession for breakfast and lunch, with home-style baking and cooking delectables,

Fresh brewed coffee, and other select beverages, fresh baked muffins, cinnamon buns/cinnamon twists for the breakfast crowd, and home-made soups and baked buns for lunch fare, with homemade pie for dessert.

Twist & More will also have many of its home-style baking items available for purchase, to enjoy right away, or to put away for the soon arriving holiday season, when you can share your baked treasures with friends and family.

The Model Train aspect of the event will have 33, 30" x 8' tables available for vendors, who wish to participate. Per Table price is $15. Doors will open for vendors to set-up at 7AM Saturday morning. there are 3 entrances to the Community Events Facility, only one having a ramp, the other two have steps involved. I am unable to receive phone calls through the work day as per policy, so text is most reliable. I will do my best to field phone calls in the evenings after 5PM.

The event for the public will be open from 9AM until 2 PM. The public will enter and exit by the main entrance. The event is free admission to the public.

Myself, Ken Morrison, of Diesel Horse Hobbies, and Patricia Zeniuk, of Twists & More Bakery, are excited to put this on and look forward to your attendance, and participation. It is going to be an Awesome event!! Don't Miss It!!

The 29th edition of Rail O Rama will feature operating layouts in different scales as well as railroad-related displays. A variety of vendors will also be present offering for sale a range of products including model trains, both new and used, modelling tools and supplies suitable for newcomers to the hobby and experienced modellers as well as books, DVDs and railroad memorabilia.

From Highway 401 take Exit 613, Sydenham Road and head South on Sydenham Road. At the first traffic light take a left onto Princess Street. Go straight at the second light, over the CNR overpass and the Ambassador Hotel is ahead on the right.
