The Jasper Northern Railway is a "G" scale garden railway located in Jasper National Park, Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Our railway was started in spring 2003, like most garden railways it will forever be a work in progress. With approximately 300 ft of track, a variety rolling stock and motive power, we are not prototypical to any railway or road name and exist only to have fun.

City: Fairmont Hot Springs Province: BC Country: Canada Phone: 250-345-6267

About Douglas H. Thorne's Layout:
My layout is H.O. gauge and occupies a room approx. 20' x 23'. It is a depiction of CP operations in the rocky mountains of Alberta and British Columbia. The Main town (Enroht) has "garden tracks" similar to those at Banff and Lake Louise. Morant's Curve is depicted between Enroth and Ridley which is my Barge town c/w lake and barges. From Ridley the trackage goes thru hidden storage to Clarke where helpers and hayracks are added to trains for the assault up the lower loop of the spiral tunnels to Brandt where the helpers are removed. Trains leaving Brandt proceed thru back to Enroht. The trackage is 100% installed and wiring is about 75% complete. The lower spiral also has about 14" where all trains are exposed depicting a short bit of the Kettle Valley.

About William I. Waithe's Layout:
This N-Scale industrial switching layout is a proto-freelanced depiction of a 23 mile segment of the CN Halton and Weston subdivisions located in Toronto. The era is late 1980s. Way freights serve nine industries in Rexdale and Etobicoke North and yard transfers move cars between the classification yard (MacMillan), the storage yard (Malport) and the CP interchange at The Junction (Lambton yard). The layout is approximately 14 x 24 ft. and has a three mile main track. Control is by Lenz DCC and operators use computer-generated switch lists. Regular operations are held and can also be arranged upon request.

City: St. Catharines Province: ON Country: Canada Phone:

About Pete Moffett's Layout:
These scenes are on one of the S scale modules that are part of the 8 member S Scale Workshop modular railroad. These modules measure overall 4' x 16' and consist of 2' x 4' modules. The standard for the S Scale Workshop layout is to have a single track running in the middle of the modules at the interface. We are free to design trackwork in any way that we want between the interfaces. These modules feature a passing track and a spur to the Hornby Mill. Photo 1 is of the Webb's Landing which is a freelance representation of a typical Muskoka station. Photo 2 is at a road crossing over the passing siding on the module. The truck is an Ertle S scale diecast vehicle which is as it came from the box but has been weathered. The scene shows a typical Canadian octagonal water tank. The model was scratchbuilt. Photo 3 is a scene again at a road crossing over the passing siding. It features the scratchbuilt Hornby Mill in the background and a kitbashed rural garage.

The CNR Newcombe Sub is loosely based on the Dundas Sub in Southern Ontario. It will have a dual track mainline with a 40 inch min. radius so that the big equipment can run. It is housed in a 20 by 22 foot room with an around the wall design with a center peninsula. The hollow section formed by the backdrop in the center peninsula will house a hidden 4 track stub end branchline staging yard. The mainline will have a four track double ended staging yard hidden by a low backdrop. The yard will act as a division point with mainline power being changed out and serviced at the engine terminal which will include a 100 ft. turntable and 9 stall roundhouse. Trains will be sent out and received from the branchline. The benchwork is mostly up with work continuing on the lighting.

About Tim Harrison's Layout:
The Golden Horseshoe Railway is an HO scale layout that is a basement room 12'x20'. The track is on 2 levels and is connected by a 2.5% grade. The layout was constructed over a 5 year period by myself and my good friend Harold Kemp and is about 90% complete. We model CN,CP and TH&B in around the GTA down to the Niagara Falls area in the 80's, but can change out and be ether in the 60's or the steam/diesel transition period. We use Digitrax DCC system. Motive power is from many different manufactures, including some kitbashed by myself. Many have sound. We are able to operate having up to 4 operators at one time. The layout will be open for tours at the CARM 2020 convention in Toronto this spring.
